Week 49

March 6, 2017

Hello everyone,

It's nice to talk to you all again.  I can't believe it's been a whole week already.  I am almost out of time so I will make it brief.

We have an awesome kid that we are teaching and we should be helping enter the waters of baptism.  I am also in a companionship with two other Elders.  They are Elder Rowley and Elder Rasmussen.  Elder Miller will be in the states for a little bit taking care of a family emergency.  Everything will be alright though.

I can't wait to write all of you guys again next week.

-- Elder Wood --

So first off, we went and found a small cruise shio in the marina.  Although it may be a small cruise ship, it is a BIG boat.  We also helped a member paint part of their ceiling, my comapnion (Elder Miller) was supposed to take pictures of us.  After 2 hours of painting we had to go and he forgot to take pictures.  I guess that's why I am never in pictures, because nobody else remembers to take them.  It was fun, and although I give him a hard time, I really enjoyed him.

Week 48

February 27, 2017

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope that you are all doing fantastic, if you have looked at the pictures yet, you would have learned that our companionship had a baptism this past week.  His name is Nicholi Rampasard.  It was awesome.

We had zone conference this past week.  We learned much about how each of us can be better.  I look forward to sending you more baptismal pictures in the coming weeks.  I know that its possible here, the people are ready.  We just need to prepare ourselves to listen to the spirit.

I wish that we all were able to listen to every prompting of the Spirit, oh how much more we could accomplish if we just listened!

This was also my first full week as a 20 year old.  Man, I feel old.  I can't wait to talk to you all some more next week.

-- Elder Wood --

We had another baptism this week.  His name is Nicholi Rampasard, Elder Miller, my companion baptized him.  We did it a little bit away from the church so we had to hop onto cars and travel.  There were some who rode in the trunk.  Finally there is just a beautiful picture to end it off.

Week 47

February 20, 2017

Greetings from Port Antonio once again.

Its been a whole week and here I am once again to email all of you, except there is something different now.  I am no longer a teenager, look out.  I had my borthday earlier in the week and now I am 20 years old

I was able to have pizza recently, its been a long time since I have been able to have pizza.  I think I am gonna put Little Caesars to good use when I get home, but I also need to stay healthy so I am gonna have fun balancing the two.

Speaking of food, Elder Rowley floured me on my birthday, now I would send home a picture, but I don't have it with me right now.

As for the work, I love being out and sharing the wonderful message that has to be shared to us be God from a living prophet.  As people understand that is message beings peace into their life and unites their family together not only do they enjoy it, it becomes part of them.  It allows you to become a better person and understand what God wants you to be.

I will talk to you all later,

--  Elder Wood --

Some beautiful views of the local area and myself.

Week 46

February 13, 2017

As I quickly write this final email of the day I just want to tell you all that I love you and care for all of you.  I do think about you and I pray for you as well.  Just because I am thousands of miles away, it does not mean that I have forgotten.

As for myself I went on a trade-off with our zone leaders, went to a trainers meeting, and went to a District Leader training this week, oh yeah, we also had transfer calls.  Our district did not change this transfer, but we are gonna be very busy.  We hope to be able to prepare some people for baptism on the 25th.  It's so awesome when someone hears and accepts the message that we share.  It makes all the bad moments worthwhile.

Well, I gotta go, the internet was very spotty today so I did not get to write as much as I usually do.  I wish you all the best.

-- Elder Wood --

The first one is a picture of the Parker family.  We were doing some service for them and decided to take a picture of them on the way out.

The next picture is one of my companion (Elder Miller) and then one of our Zone Leaders (Elder Larson).

The final picture is one of our other Zone Leader (Elder Craig) and myself.

The last two were just after we finished a trade-off with our zone leaders.
